A 43 year old woman presents to the office complaining of severe left arm pain/numbness for the past 4-5 months.  Cervical ranges of motion are full and pain free with the exception of extension which creates pain and numbness in the left arm.  Biceps, triceps and brachioradialis deep tendon reflexes are +2 on both sides.  Neck flexors are weak on the right and do not strengthen upon autogenic facilitation.  IRT is performed to the right scalenes and right SCM.  Neck flexors strengthen.  This results in 85-90% reduction in her symptoms.
