Arthritis:

There are three types of arthritis: Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and gouty arthritis.  Osteoarthritis includes the typical type of arthritic changes that accompany aging.  Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease, which means that the body’s immune system is attacking the body’s own joints.  Gouty arthritis is associated with elevated levels of uric acid.  All three types of arthritis are due to system-wide changes in the body chemistry, and all may be helped by nutritional interventions.

Osteoarthritis may affect one joint (for example, a finger) but more often it affects multiple joints in the body. Rheumatoid arthritis also most often affects multiple joints.  Gouty arthritis is usually localized to one or two areas.  Stop Your Pain Now! techniques are most effective in osteoarthritis when mainly one or two joints are involved and in gouty arthritis when a localized area or areas are involved.

Under all circumstances of arthritis, various dietary measures and often nutritional supplements must be included for the body to achieve its maximum response.
