A 50 year old female with multiple sclerosis presented with an inhibited (1/5) left hamstring. (Her left side is more affected by the MS.) Her hip abduction bilaterally was 70 degrees. She has been under care for more than 5 years and has been doing very well. At the previous office visit, the left hamstring tested 4/5. When I questioned her, she stated that she had increased her workout at the gym, especially working on the hip abductors and was experiencing some level of pain at the lateral hips. I did IRT to the left greater trochanter and the left hamstring then tested 4/5 and her hip abduction bilaterally was 90 degrees.
